At The Sheiling Ringwood we like to collaborate with other organisations. Engagement with the local community and businesses is something that we are proud of and continue to develop for our students. These relationships are valuable to us as an organisation and to our students, their development and experiences.
TADSS is a cooperative group of special schools working together to evolve practice in education, assessment and learning. We join for activities such as assessment forums, moderation events and development and practice sharing events for subject leaders and school leaders. TADSS also provide a range of ongoing CPD/ professional development opportunities related to SEND needs and education.
Teaching Alliance of Dorset Special Schools
SEN Legal has been operating for over 20 years as a national and highly specialised legal practice with an excellent reputation. They specialise in education law, in particular Special Educational Needs and Disability for children and young persons aged 0-25.
An established group welcoming the Deputy Heads of Dorset Special Schools. The group meet three times a year to share good practise and experiences. The group also collaborate to maximise the effectiveness of working practise, successful initiatives and assessments.
Local Special School Moderation Group
A group formed over five years ago. Key staff from numerous local specialist schools join three times a year to moderate academic work. The aim is to maintain and support consistency and attainment locally.
